My Story

A Black Writer, Performer, Filmmaker, & Activist

Cat Davidson is a writer, performer, and filmmaker specializing in strong female characters and culturally diverse storylines with punch. Cat holds a MFA in Scriptwriting from Northwestern University and a BA in Theatre and Poli-Sci from Muhlenberg College. She was a quarterfinalist in the Screencraft Pilot Launch competition for her script Ryn Wunder: Demon Hunter. In 2017, her short play Three Black Birds was performed as a part of the Black Lives Black Words international theater initiative and published in an anthology of short plays by the same title. She has also been recognized for her many roles in web series, short films, and stage plays. Cat recently wrote and directed the independent short film Crossed, a film that confronts modern racism through the familiar tale of star-crossed lovers. In her spare time, Cat can be found reading fantasy page-turners and baking pixie-sized desserts of all kinds.
